This morning marks the third time in two weeks that my MBTA commute has taken as long or longer than if I'd just walked it (and I'm no candidate for Athlete of the Year--hell, I'm a weeble with legs).

I'd say that everyone affiliated with the T should just up and perish of shame already, but perhaps they already have and that's why the buses don't show up.

you sure you are reading the schedule correctly?

I don't think that matters in the least, given that MBTA bus schedules aren't worth the paper they're printed on.

"Anonymous" must work for the T--that's the only way they could have posted such an asinine question.

this morn, as I was approaching my bus stop, I saw the bus pull up. while it was stopped, a second bus passed by it.

there are two bus routes that go along this particular stretch of road; at morning rush hour, they are supposed to show up an average of every 6 minutes. they always show up at the same time.

I had a bad feeling about waiting for the next bus, and I turned out to be right. when those two buses got to my stop just before I did, I started walking to Sullivan Square -- a 25 minute walk. I didn't see a bus during that whole walk, when, in theory, I should have seen at least four.

I'm about ready to start biking downtown from Somerville, but having the T pass comes in handy fairly often. ergh.

Yeah, I waited 20 minutes for an "every 10 minutes or less" 66 bus. Of course, two showed up at the same time (and by the time we got to Harvard Square--too late to make my 7:10 connection to the #96--there were three of them in the caravan). Then they screwed up my Plan B as well. I got a #77 easily enough. Got off at Chester St. and walked to Davis to catch the 7:53 #89. Unfortunately, it didn't show up until 8:17. I got to work at 8:35, 5 minutes late and 2 hours after I'd left my apartment. 2 hours from Allston to Medford. I can walk it in an hour fifty.
